New ‘Star Trek’ Barbie Dolls Released For The 50th Anniversary

Untitled-2
Shelf Space… the final frontier for any toy collector, and you’re going to need just a little more to display these awesome Barbie dolls, announced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.
They drop in July, though Amazon is currently taking preorders for these newly-announced dolls of Kirk, Spock and Uhura (Uhura is currently listed as unavailable) for $34.99.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Barbie has shown her Trekkie side. A set of dolls released to tie in with the 2009 movie were released in… well, in 2009, and before that this set of Barbie and Ken dressed in Original Series era uniforms was released in 1996 for the franchise’s 30th anniversary. By our reckoning, though, this new 50th anniversary set is the best-looking of the bunch.
